Describing your project
The project description is a key part of your application.
You should clearly explain your proposal and how the project addresses the aims of the program and grant category.
When describing your project, you should include the following information:
• What your project is about – the rationale, what your project involves, proposed artistic and community benefits, role of the photographer, arts workers, designers and/or community involved (if applicable), and how you will evaluate the project.
• Why your project should be supported – how your project meets the assessment criteria and whether or not it has industry and/or community support.
• How you will manage or deliver the project – the artistic, financial and administrative experience of the photographer and/or organisation(s) involved, confirmed project location and timelines, plus marketing strategy, funding from other organisations, and support from project partner(s) or auspice body, if applicable.
If you are applying for a Programmes & Initiatives Grant, you will also need to address the relevant sector goals. These applications should include an estimate of how many activities and participants will be involved in addition to the written project description. You should also include any other performance indicators you intend to use to evaluate your project such as how many other photographers, including emerging artists, arts and non-arts organisations, were involved.
